I'm glad to see that this whole deal is being put to rest. For at least 2 weeks, it seemed that the news stations....both network and cable...were devoting about 1/3rd of their broadcast time to this nonsense. It was almost as if they were competing with each other to see who could be the most "politically correct"....and they seemed to be inferring that this idiot was attacked by a couple of White Radicals, committing a Hate Crime. Smollett has done the people of his race a big disservice.

The news reports were "inferring" he was attacked by white racists/homophobes because that's what he reported to the police. He has done all people a disservice and I hope he faces consequences for his stupid actions.

Another thing: in addition to the personal check it was reported there's evidence Jussie called the two guys shortly before and after the incident FROM HIS OWN CELL PHONE. Sheesh! Has he not heard of those disposable flip cell phones one can buy at 7-11? Duh.
 
I'm not going to get into it about Jussie himself. I'm from Chicago area and the bottom line is that we have more than enough crime to deal with and this case wasted time and resources on overworked cops and detectives. That's the real 'crime' here.

Don't know about that but....he has been arrested & indicted for his fake news story bullshit. I hope they prosecute,then punish him to the fullest extent provided by the law.

I recall a piece Morton Downey did on smoking. He mocked all those anti-smoking people while puffing away. He died of lung cancer.
