I naturally prefer drumsticks off of the chicken. So, the wee drumsticks from the wings part is preferred. However, removing the bones and getting all the meat off of the flats is easy.

Just grab the bones opposite and twist, the bones comes right off.

No faves. Like them both.
I use a McCormick Package of Buffalo Wings seasoning. I drop them in to a zip lock a long w/the seasoning and massage it all in, and let it marinate in the fridge overnight. Sometimes, I'll use the bottled stuff, it's jsut as good.

I buy a bag of frozen wings for $4 at Winco. May be 2-3 lbs worth. Tyson?

I'm surprised that flats are kickin' it 😵 I know many who swear by drums. Where are the drummers?
I like drumsticks (as we call them). There's not enough meat on wings and if drums are cooked right, they are not dry at all. I don't like white meat (breasts), now to me, with the exception of Costco's rotisserie chicken, they are dry.

I guess I am old school, my husband and I both grew up eating wings. They were cast offs back in the old days, dirt cheap. FIL made the best wings, smoked and cooked on the grill.

These days I cook them in the air fryer, covered in herbs and spices, they come out perfect. I prefer the flats and would buy only those if available. The drums seem tough and not flavorful to me.

I will add that is you are cooking drum sticks (chicken legs)they are the best cooked in an air fryer. The skin is crisp and the meat is still juicy. Those are a favorite of the grandson.
