Almost everyone enjoys having some chicken wings once in awhile so if you're one of those people, what's your preference when you reach for a wing? Drum or Flat?

I prefer the flats. Not sure why. They just seem easier for me to get the meat off them

I've heard people referring to Buffalo Wings, what are they? I don't like either of those mentioned above.

"Although chicken wings were long marked as the least desirable part of the chicken, the Buffalo wings recipe turned them into a juicy, spicy treat perfect for a snack or an appetizer, especially during sports events. This simple dish is prepared by first separating the chicken wings at the joint into a drumstick and a flat. Then, the wings are deep-fried or baked in a hot oven until they turn golden brown and crispy. Originally, the wings are left unseasoned and uncoated with flour, although some recipe variations suggest doing so. The following step is to toss the wings into a hot sauce with some melted butter or margarine — or, even better, into special Anchor Bar Wing Sauce which is the authentic ingredient. The wings are tossed in the bowl until they are completely covered in sauce. This bar classic is served hot, with some refreshing celery sticks and a blue cheese dip, and its spiciness is best washed down with a glass of ice-cold beer."

Winging It: Take a bite out of history on the Buffalo Wing Trail ...

When I make wings at home, my husband and I never have to squabble about who gets what part. I like the flats and he likes the drum part. Harmony! ā˜ŗļø

I like wings made just about any way, but I think my favorites are buffalo style or just dredging in a little flour, salt and pepper and baking in the oven.

Wings are wings - I like both and have them as often as possible. I just wish they would come back down in price.
And I really despise the "boneless wing" thing that has tried to take over when the price of wings went up. They are just chicken nuggets...
Out of curiosity, what's the price/lb. where you are? I have a place near me that has really nice meaty wings. They put them on sale once a month for a week at $3.99/lb. That's the cheapest I've seen them recently.

We've had some wings delivered from Wing Stop, initially I thought I liked the drums, but now I favor the flats and would order all flats if I could. They don't seem to be as dry as the drums. Mostly now we order chicken tenders, I dip mine in the ranch dipping sauce, my husband makes a sandwich out of his on Brioche buns.
