A child was bitten 50 times by rats in a dirty and cluttered also occupied by the parents and an aunt.

The father who called police was sentenced to 16 years for neglect and associated charges. Doesn't say much about the two other 'adults' who basically kept a hoarders home complete with trash, bugs, rat feces & clutter.

This is beyond disturbing. And there FIVE children in that house... *AND* others were bitten before. I don't even want to know why Child Services "provided aid" but allowed the children to stay there. The children were getting bitten (and the baby actually attacked) while they SLEPT. Good gracious.

I think anyone who's name appeared on those Child Services records should be arrested and charged with neglect too. I thought their job was to protect children!

I have a little five month old grandson and he's the most adorable, smiley baby I've ever met and the idea of him being hurt like that just turns my stomach. Today for example, I was babysitting him and he's so adorable and that thought popped into my head about people who do terrible things or neglect wonderful little beings like our little guy and it almost makes me weep just at the thought!
