China zoo accused of exhibiting humans costumed as bears…

A zoo in eastern China has stirred up controversy by exhibiting bears suspected of being humans in costume, a charge that the zoo adamantly denies. The bears in question are about the size of a person, stand up on their hind legs at times, wave to the crowds, and appear to have rumpled folds of fur suggesting fabric…

The bears in question are Sun Bears, however, the smallest ursine species with some very human-like and endearing behaviors, They are not some guy in a suit, as the triple-degree temperatures in China would render a human in costume unconscious within minutes.

Still, can you see how these bears might be mistaken for actors? Chinese zoos have also been accused of painting dogs to look like wolves, and donkeys to resemble zebras…

If they’d put a hat and tie on them, we’d know that we were in Jellystone Park in the presence of Yogi and Boo-boo. Better keep an eye on your pic-a-nic basket! 🐻
Even the clip they showed of the type of bear this is supposed to be didn’t look like this dressed up human. Those bears had a large amount of overlapping skin.

Bears don’t carefully sit down like humans do.
Bears don’t have a zipper opening in the chest area. The guy apparently forgot to zip it 😂

video says it all the attendance is up 30 percent so it is business.... even if it turns out to be fake the boost will have happened so they would like the debate to continue.

This is clearly not a bear. The green hat and tie were a dead giveaway to me. I doubt that even the Chinese could pass this off as the real deal.

The personality and mannerisms of Yogi Bear are loosely based on Art Carney‘s character of Ed Norton in the classic comedy The Honeymooners.

A little Yogi Bear goes a long way with me as I’ve always found the character mildly annoying. As for the Yogi Bear movie, that was a real Boo-Boo… 🐻

That and can bears be duck footed? I didn't think paws could point outward like the human foot. The waving and flex hand as well.

I'm going to say it's real. Putting humans in bear outfits in zoo? Even in China, who would come up with such a nutty idea, and for what purpose? Just to get 15 minutes of fame on UTube? Or a chance to laugh at what idiots there are in the West?

I was told my an old timer in Montana that a skinned bear hanging up in a garage looks a lot like a human. But then I heard a lot of silly bear stories from old timers, who got their information mostly from other old timers.

Part of the reason it got attention apparently a Chinese zoo got caught using a dog to portray a lion in the past.

Some focus only as the bear is standing up on its hind legs. Yet, in the video, before the bear stands; it's obvious it's bear. Yes, the bear is responding to the human crowd, but if the bear was raised, and lives in a zoo, that pretty understandable.
But the penguins are another story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
