Link About Release of Christians

These Christians were kidnaped and now a total of 5 have been released. The Hattian gang who kidnapped them threatened to kill each one if a ransom of 17 million was not paid.

The US refused to be coerced by them and refused to pay.

What are your thoughts?
 

I don't really know much about it.

It seems odd to me that they are releasing people a few at a time. Were they sick? Ransomed by family?

I feel bad for the hostages and the Haitian people but IMO they can't be helped. The world has been pouring money into Haiti for decades and nothing seems to change yet its neighbor the Dominican Republic seems to be gradually improving.

Very sad.
 
Hati is one of the most dangerous & poor countries on the planet. If a person chooses to go there & spread their word etc. They are rolling the dice. They & only they have put themselves in harms way .
 

If they want to put themselves in danger so be it. But, there was three children! Anyone, for whatever reason, who's stupid enough to take a kid into that mess should have the kid taken away.
