Christmas kindness.

In a world gone mad where Christmas simply means that most retailers just want to sell you anything... just to make money,... it is indeed so refreshing to look at this simple pic that I retrieved from a recent email.

Everytime I look at it, I feel so humbled !....

I haven't seen it before Tezza......very sad......but there are so many others around the globe in similar situations.....

It's lovely in it's own way isn't it? There's a special 'warm' feeling about a dog snoring on your lap in winter.

I've seen it before too, hope they've fared better since, let's think so anyway.

A good story from Grafton. A couple who are famous in the district for their Xmas lights display had their principle draw-card stolen.

It's a ride-on mower that they trick up as a 'Polar Express' for kids to ride through the lights to the 'North Pole' They didn't bother with the lights this year, too disappointed to bother.

The locals were seething over the theft and set about finding the mower... they did! It's been fully serviced for free and delivered back to them.
Volunteers have turned up and are furiously putting up the display and it should power up just in time for Xmas.

There's a deeper story to it. For years they've been doing all this work, usually at least a month's worth, to erect and wire the display. Over the years they been taking donations from sightseers and have raised over $40,000 for the Children's Hospital. Let's hope they make some more this year eh? Good on the people of Grafton.

.

The isolation and destructive nature of homelessness means that most people find it difficult to access the help they need.

Many thousands of people regularly sleep rough on our streets and without the help of the charities and shelters they would not survive.

In London the public are frequently accosted by beggers demanding money.

There are many reasons why people end up on the streets and multiple reports have failed to find a solution to this problem.

Bowels? :lofl: they out money in his bowels? :lofl:
Oh Crikey! I am having the worst time spelling anymore. What was I thinking !? maybe it was because I had to run to the bathroom and my mind was thinking about my bowels and not bowls.

Yes folks you heard it here first..Atheist's and Agnostic's have a lot more in their bowels than religious people.

Not only that - the little signs in front of the Buddhist and Spiritual bowels are misspelled ... that must mean Buddhists and Spiritualists have ignorant bowels.
