No idea if there's any lights up anywhere around here yet, haven't ventured out at night.
I missed the annual Chrissy lights drive around Singleton. As country towns go it was a good one for fancy house lights.
It's a mining town full of overpaid miners with young families and more money than taste and they compete mercilessly for the 'Griswald' award.
The 'CBD' didn't tart up that much, all the action was in the 'suburbs' and the traffic was like 'Field of Dreams' ... if you light 'em up, they will come.... There'd be a steady stream of creeping cars and gawking tourist from the surrounding towns blocking up the neighbourhood.
The 'award' one year went to a rural house, way out of town on a back road that I doubt anyone but the owner and judges ever saw.
It looked spectacular in the photo in the paper, shame no one else knew about it, and bet the people in town were just biting themselves.
