I once suggested that the local shopping mall have at least a small nativity scene tucked away in some corner of the mall as part of their Christmas decorations. It was nixed. So, I guess everything doesn’t go at Christmas.
In the thread title it says that anything goes. Well then, this was recorded at Easter, but I can guarantee that when my wife and I attend the midnight Christmas service at our church, the choir will treat us to a rendition of The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah, not a dry eye in the place.
The only concession we make to Christmas is to watch "The Muppets Christmas Carol" every year. I don't think many people round here bother with church or carol singing.
Weather permitting, we go to the beach on 25th Dec. Then we come home because it's too cold. Sometimes,a group of 'wild swimmers' go for a swim. I'm not that mad /brave.
