Chuck Norris has died age 86

the martial arts champion who became an iconic action star and led the hit series “Walker, Texas Ranger,” has died. He was 86.


Norris was hospitalized in Hawaii on Thursday, and his family posted a statement Friday saying that he died that morning. “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” his family wrote.

Action movie icon. Even trained with Bruce Lee in the 1960s. Remember seeing him in one of Lee's films and Walker Texas Rangers. He also made some guest appearance on one the Hawaii based/film tv shows over the last decade.

Kind of surprise because I just saw he was hospitalized but was training days before.

I'm surprised! And sad. I, too, had read how he was hospitalized in Hawaii, but I assumed it was for a minor issue.

I remember when all those Chuck Norris jokes started to go around back when my girls were in high school.

Was reading yesterday some of the 'hospitalization' comments and they were joking the hospital would probably die first.

Sad but he lived life to the fullest and spent his final days in Hawaii.

well it's how most people would like to go... little or no suffering after reaching a great age, and having a wonderful life... R.I.P

RIP, Chuck. That's very sad news to hear that he has passed. He's one of my favorite action movie actors.

When young I saw a movie called Silent Rage, typical Sherrif Chuck Norris vs. genetically altered self healing insane homicidal serial killer who didn't speak, for some reason I always remembered the movie as very scary. Then many years later I rented it to watch at home, pretty lame. lol

Regardless of his acting talent Chuck Norris made quite a carreer for himself, and always seemed a humble person. R.I.P. sir.

Same here. Actually, I believe the only thing I've seen him in is Walker Texas Ranger.

One thing that also saddens me, or should I say, exacerbates the sadness I feel, is that he seemed so well liked, and all the jokes and memes were good-natured, as far as I know. In these days of online hate it was nice that there was a celebrity people just seemed to . . . like. And agree on. That seems to be getting increasingly rare.

Oh wow, RIP Chuck. Back in the '70s I attended classes at Chuck Norris' Karate studio, in Redondo Beach. He was becoming busy with his acting career,but would lead classes periodically. His Army buddy was my main teacher; he was a Heavy-weight class Taekwondo title holder...a big guy.
