A used running Austin 7.what cost £5..?
Bentley. And like the Rolls-Royce a little more pretty than the new David Beckham style one. I live quite close to the RR factory, except inside it is more like a posh hotel.Beautiful car. Not sure of the make, but it's nice.
Lovely car Diva..it's a Mark Vl Bentley... very popular here for weddings.I believe that's a 1953 Rolls Royce. This is a Rolls too, if my search engine didn't steer me wrong (pardon the pun). And this car looks more like the car the gentleman had.

My daughters' second ever car was a Volvo..piece of junk....Those of a certain generation will remember Simon Templar. The initials for that name are also the abbreviation for Saint, that's how Templar got his nickname, The Saint. Portrayed on television by Roger Moore it did wonders for the sales of Volvo cars. He drove the 1800S

Later, Volvo introduced the 1800ES

It went on sale at three grand. At the time my first house was just short of six grand.
Today, fully restored, you won't get much change out of forty grand.
Been watching a lot of the later Saint series on TV with Ian Ogilvy and his Jag. A bit corny but I like the Med scenery. Those of a certain generation will remember Simon Templar. Some interesting cars on there Nat, are you what they call in the UK a "Tyre Kicker"?One of the time waster sites I check out from time to time is BaT Auctions | Bring a Trailer
They usually have some oldies in the mix
Lucky you, mine left one of these. Unfortunately, an old lady stepped out in front of it and came right through the window, and killed herself. That shook him up a bit.
Inherited from my Father, different colour....
I know...it's like driving on a cloud! However it's a money pit.Lucky you, mine left one of these. Unfortunately, an old lady stepped out in front of it and came right through the window, and killed herself. That shook him up a bit.

Wow, talk about going somewhere in style. That is one classy machine !I believe that's a 1953 Rolls Royce. This is a Rolls too, if my search engine didn't steer me wrong (pardon the pun). And this car looks more like the car the gentleman had.

Nice lines. Very fluid. My first car was a 1955 Hillman Husky. It was appallingly bad.
Look at the top of the radiator, you see the mascot? It's the letter 'B' with a wing extending from it. Known as the flying B it's the mascot of Bentley Motors, they were acquired by Rolls Royce in 1931.
Since acquiring my vintage MG I have learned a little about the marque's history. Did you know that they experimented with Art Deco designs?

Not sure if it went into production. I can't ever remember seeing one.
So sad. That's one of those "What if" stories that you wonder about. Nice that you could own it for awhile though. It's certainly a classic.73 Road Runner.....Bought it in the military in 79.
From the day I bought it, a friend of mine wanted it. He wanted it so bad he would ask me every day, sometime twice a day to sell it to him.
After a couple of months I caved in and sold it to him.
2 days later he wrapped it around a tree. He was ok, but the car was gone. What a waste.

That is one sporty looking Volvo on top. Never seen it before. It's somewhat similar to the lines of the Ford Mustang, only Volvo builds a MUCH nicer automobile (But at a much higher price as well). Those of a certain generation will remember Simon Templar. Oh wow! I am seriously impressed. You know that we Brits shorten petroleum to petrol, a word we use instead of gas, petrol is also a Brit-speak term for someone who knows their automobiles. In a complimentary way you would be known as a petrol-head!Well according to what I can find, its a 1937 PANHARD & LEVASSOR X76 Dynamic 130 Coach
