Cleveland Police Officer Killed in Hit and Run

A Cleveland, Ohio Police officer was hit by someone on the interstate who just left him to die. The driver did not stop and just kept going. Here is the story:

I hope they will be able to find the person who did that. Such a terrible thing to do to the officer and his family.

There was something on the morning CNN news about this...it appears that they have caught the driver. He will probably Not be treated kindly. It wouldn't surprise me to find out he was either drunk or on drugs.

Yes, they caught him. The article says they caught him, too, in one part of it. I saw the arrest on tv and there must have been 100 police at the scene. A Homeland Security officer spotted his car. It was pretty far away from Cleveland; in the next county. I don't know how he will be treated but all police are under scrutiny now yet who knows...

An updated story says they got him. 44 year old male. Leaving the scene makes you wonder about motive other than being drunk or high.

The story I posted also said they caught him btw. He has spent time in prison and has committed crimes in the past; could be one reason why he kept on going. Didn't want to go back there..

The news tonight says he is charged with felony aggravated vehicular homicide and felony hit skip.
