Cloudflare is down today

Whatever that is. Most of my forums and other sites are impacted. It says Cloudlfare Atlanta........Sherman did a lot of damage way back but hard to believe he is still causing problems........They said lots of traffic began around 630am causing them problems. Cyber attack today? Conspiracies are the narrative today.

TechRadar acquired a statement directly from CloudFlare itself, as the service continues to investigate the ongoing downtime. The statement reads:

"We saw a spike in unusual traffic to one of Cloudflare's services beginning at 11:20 UTC. That caused some traffic passing through Cloudflare's network to experience errors. We do not yet know the cause of the spike in unusual traffic. We are all hands on deck to make sure all traffic is served without errors. After that, we will turn our attention to investigating the cause of the unusual spike in traffic. We will post updates to cloudflarestatus.com and more in-depth analysis when it is ready to blog.cloudflare.com."

CloudFlare is another one of those companies that a significant amount of internet traffic flows through. About the same as Amazon's AWS which was the last company in the news for taking down the internet. Their specialty service is protecting companies against online attacks.

The only thing it stopped me doing today was opening a picture hosting site, but it was back running again quite quickly

Cloudfire's outages didn't impact any of my internet usage today.

There was a 15 second blurb on the local news tonight, but they never said what the issue was.

It didn’t affect me. My Internet is lousy every day.

Quite a few places I use were impacted.
Including the place that hosts Worgle and Plusword.
A couple of other forums I am on were down.
