Clowns??

Thats funny RR.....I always liked clown acts anywhere I saw them since childhood.....their antics are very basic but creatively funny, esp when they blew up those skinny balloons and twisted em' into animal shapes....At any of the Circque du Soleil circus shows, the clowns' faces are all madeup with mostly sparkles, no hat, no big hair, no big nose.....they do magic tricks working in pairs....and the mimes are sensational with their kazoos :)

I've watched a few Cirque du Soleil tapes, but never in person. Have you seen a live performance? It's absolutely beautiful- I never even recognized 'clowns' as such.

Yes RR, been to three live shows so far....my son treats me whenever the CDS comes to Wash DC.....he lives on the outskirts of Fairfax....
these shows are breathtaking....you cant believe what you're experiencing with all the acrobatic moves, in and out of water pools and fountains and the music and singing are the best with comedy, clowns and mimes inbetween :)

Is she a clown? She's not scary.

When I was growing up clowns were jolly and funny. Somewhere over many decades someone made them creepy and dangerous. So while I'm not afraid of funny clowns, I leave those with teeth dripping blood to others.

I liked clowns when I was a kid, but my daughter never liked them. When she was little, I bought a Jack-In-The-Box clown and Pierrot for her which she was afraid of from the get-go. She didn't want them in her room, so I had to give them away. She's 35 now, and still doesn't like clowns. She is, however, a big fan of Cirque du Soleil.

I'm not creeped out by clowns but not much of a fan either. They always seemed a little weird. However, I did like the Jack-in-the-Box ad campaign when they brought back Jack, and still enjoy the more clever of their commercials.

I've been to Cirque du Soleil (very enjoyable) but consider the performer to be costumed acrobats and aerial ballet artists rather than garden variety circus clowns.

Love, love Steven King stories... but my daughter passionately hates clowns (really, it's not my fault). I like creepy movies but meeting this clown face to face would be a totally different story.
