I only drink a cup or two in the mornings. I really like Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain that I buy at Sprouts natural market, I buy the whole beans and use their grinder. Some good things about coffee. Healthy if you don't load it up with creamer like I do. More here. :coffee:

A recent mega-study analysis has determined that four cups of coffee daily reduces stroke risk and arterial clogging from calcium. Other studies have indicated that moderate coffee-consumption protects the liver, surprisingly, and reduces the risk of colon cancer, again surprisingly.

Various studies have shown that coffee drinkers enjoy increased short term memory with enhanced long term memory. Coffee usually improves cognitive functions, including intellectual and problem solving acumen. The caffeine cuts through the fog for slow risers or awakening nappers.

I start the day with tea with soy milk, and later have a cappuccino from our Nespresso machine. I use almond milk which is less calories than skim milk. And it froths up quite nice. Then I alternate coffee and tea throughout the day, having decaf late afternoon and evening.

Two or three cups of a dark blend for morning blast off...two favorites are Café Bustela and Sumatra when it's on sale...black...I'm hardcore:cool: Something my daughter in law was horrified by was my using Equal, AKA The blue stuff. Is blue sweetener considered bad?

Well that certainly makes me feel good. Being retired, alone, and house bound, I have a cup of coffee every day. Only one cup of Folger's Instant via microwave, but it gets added to and reheated continuously all day long. I sense a lot of faces wincing out there. I thought coffee was supposed to be bad for you.

I would never use those artificial sweeteners like Aspertame, if I had to, I'd use something more natural and healthy like Stevia. http://www.natmedtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5197&highlight=aspertame

No wincing here, Underock. Been drinking Folger's Instant for 30 years at least, many cups a day. I just keep the pot of water hot on the coffee maker all day. Lately I've been switching out to tea some. Downside of tea, it stains your teeth much worse than coffee.

We had a Tassimo machine but recently went over to Nespresso. They have a lot more choice and are much better value.

Yeah. I throw in a cup of tea once in a while too to break up the monotony. I drink the Earl Grey variety. Sometimes I add honey. Sometimes I drink it straight and strong with some vegetables, fried rice and soy sauce I throw together and pretend its Chinese.
Funny about the teeth. I have a complete set of dentures that only come out of my mouth for cleaning. I've had them for over fifty years, and they're still perfect. Just one small streak of brown stain on the underside of the lowers.

As far as I've found online anything but Stevia is suspect. So I pay more and buy Truvia.

We bought a Nespresso 5 years ago. Started leaking recently and couldn't figure out the problem. So we bought another one. This time we got one without the frother and got a handheld battery operated one. Works even better.

I heard about the benefits of coffee for the liver a couple years back, when I had a liver problem treated. I only drink 2 cups in the morning, but I could easily drink a couple more later on, if I were to have occasion to.

Gotta load up on hazelnut creamer! ;)

I've been having organic french roast coffee I get from the health food store. I put soymilk in it or nothing. A dash of honey at times, too. I usually have one or two large mugs. I also like Southern pecan organic coffee.
