Cold water for laundry

WIthout going into all the reasons why - since it would unnecessarily take too long - my washer is not even connected to the hot water, just the cold. Everything turns out fine, and colors last longer. Even if I could, I wouldn't get the hot water connected.
Same here, only use hot water in a bucket to soak dirty white collars and cuffs or stained tea towels.

I use hot water for my sheets, towels, washcloths, and all cloth items that I use in the kitchen. We can’t see dust mites, but I have read that they live in everyone’s bedding and the only way to kill them is with hot water.
Would the heat from the dryer be enough to kill any critters that didn’t drown in the washer? 🤔

Not being critical, I use hot water in the washing machines in the apartment complex laundry room because it’s always a concern to me what others before me may have washed in those machines.

Mostly cold but sometimes start with warm so it's not cold, cold. Warm for sheets and towels. Hot occasionally for an unusually dirty load.
Always low dry. I think it's faster (?) and less wrinkles.
