Color test

This was all over Facebook today too.
I looked it up on Snopes.com.
Surly we see the dress the same if in person. Otherwise I'm in wardrobe trouble!

Marty, there it is... IN PERSON, otherwise imagine all store clerks stocking items by color & seeing them so differently... it would be chaos!

In the first link in my post 17 Marty you'll see the story is true and a picture of the lady wearing the dress.

Denise in answer to your question I see the dress in Blue with Black stripes in the original picture, however it looks light blue to me and not the dark blue that it is in reality..

Whose reality Holly, like the man says our brains all "see" it somewhat differently. It's weird isn't it?

Ok, because I can, if I focus on it, see the white as a very, pale blue. I thought maybe you guys were seeing it in that dark blue;)

I don't know much about any of this, but they say it's dogs, I think, that don't see color at all? So it makes me think that maybe color-blindness is not some sort of handicap, just different "reality" like you say Jim;)

I just showed my grandson. He said he saw the dress last night and saw it as white & gold like I did. Just now, when he came in from outside, he saw it as blue & black! Ok, I won't say anymore.

Light brown or gold horizontal stripes, on a whitish base?

I don't really get how this reveals the why a person thinks, more like lighting, computer display settings, ambient lighting, etc.

that's what I wondered Tnt, because you can change that with software (imaging). What if there really is zero color in the world and it's only there through humans eyes, (twilight Zone music in the background, lol)
