Imagine 2 thirds of that being auburn after 10 months of growing it out. It wasn’t prettyOh, that looks very nice! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I agree that it looks better than before but was disappointed that the original fix only held for 3 weeks. I am surprised that your brown turned blonde. I never had that happen when I colored it auburn.I know we don't have the same procedure done to our hair, I color mine out of a box, but my hair always turns blonde after about 3-4 weeks.. That's after I've dyed it a medium brown color. I'm used to it now and kinda like it.
Your hair color does look good. I like it.
Try giving yourself a tiny trim every couple of months. It helps to stimulate the growth I believe. This is my one month update. Parts of my hair that I had the auburn partially removed and the highlights put in have now turned blonde. I couldn’t believe it.
However, because of the weaving/highlights at least I don’t have a line around my head and it looks better than initially but not as good as right after the color correction.
I’m determined now that I will just grow it out and live with it until eventually all the color is cut off. Since hair grows at a rate of 6 inches a year I am probably looking at another 2 years. A friend of mine got her hair cut really short so as not to have this issue but I don’t want to do that.
To my eyes, that’s a ‘great’ transition. Now you can grow out your natural hair colour and it will look awesome. This is my one month update. Parts of my hair that I had the auburn partially removed and the highlights put in have now turned blonde. I couldn’t believe it.

I think it looks good. Do you wash your hair a lot? I find that colour fades much quicker if you overwash your hair. I did my own hair during lockdown but, have gone back to the hairdressers now and find that the highlights they put in last a lot longer than the home dyes. I guess that's because home dyes are likely weaker than the professional ones. This is my one month update. Trish, I wash my hair every other day. With all the exercising I do it gets greasy otherwise.I think it looks good. Do you wash your hair a lot? I used to wash my hair every other day too. I occasionally use a dry shampoo but, don't really like them. If you need to wash your hair every other day, then try just using a little conditioner instead of shampoo. It's what I do if my hair needs a boost between shampoo days. I do use shampoo for colored treated hair. I have known people to just use conditioner but I can’t stand it when my hair feels greasy. I have heard it can help in the long run but I can’t tolerate the transition.I used to wash my hair every other day too. I occasionally use a dry shampoo but, don't really like them. Hats are great too! I love hats in the winter and also have some summer ones too.
I have found that the less I shampoo my hair, the less it needs it. It is definitely in better condition now than when I used to wash it every other day![]()
