Comedian Tracy Morgan's Emmy appearance angered the defendants lawyer saying it makes it even harder to get a fair trial in the criminal proceedings of the horrific accident that killed at least one and injured Morgan.

I can see them wanting Morgan not to speak about the accident on tv/in public and should've have asked for a gag order but what's Morgan supposed to do, not work make public appearances which is what he normally did.
 

Not being able to get a fair trial? You're sleep deprived and plow your truck into a limo so hard it flips over. You kill one passenger and critically injure the other three. I don't even think he deserves a trial. Those are the facts, they can't really be defended except that perhaps Wally World pushes their drivers for deadlines over sleep. Then they should be punished as well.
Bless Tracy getting out on that stage though.
 
Everyone deserves a fair trial. Start blurring the lines on one, then it happens on the next and pretty soon nobody gets a fair trial.
 

Why in the world should an injured person be prevented from telling his story to protect the guy who id it? Makes no sense at all. The defense gets to regale the media about how the accused had a bad childhood, or was mentally ill or some such claptrap, and the victim of a crime must remain silent???
