Demographers and futurists have seen this coming since the mid-1960s, and were frustrated when a butterfly expert published The Population Bomb in 1968. To their consternation, the uninformed masses accepted the narrative without question, caught up as they were in a new "eat, drink, and be merry" culture as the '60s wound down.
The book has been criticized since its publication for an alarmist tone, and over the subsequent decades, for inaccurate assertions and failed predictions.

Reality is catching up with the world, currently hitting Asia first because they swallowed it hook, line, and sinker as an answer when economic hardship arrived.

It turns out things are getting strange in desperation as reality sinks in:
Why do I believe China’s population is no more than 800 million? The notorious "menstruation police" have returned! Former birth-control offices are now being rebranded as birth-promotion offices. The Chinese government is covering up its true population numbers while desperately trying to transform the country into a "fertility-friendly society."

sorry form of sarcasm - remember their one child philosophy - that is still reverberating today! they always think they can get it right! but sometimes not - but I did live in Chinese territories for a few years and enjoyed the food and scenery!

Lei did a video a week or so before this one, showing how it isn't possible the pop of China is the 1.4 billion the CCP claims.

She got some backlash from viewers who thought the method she used to do the calculation was dumb. I'm glad she posted this follow-up video. It totally supports her math.

As a sort-of follow-up to the follow-up, the vid she posted today is about a significant up-tick in HIV cases in China between 2019 and 2022. She said that, in fact, before the up-tick, confirmed HIV cases were on a slow but steady incline in China ever since the original outbreak in the early 70s.

Might seem unrelated, but, naturally, that's had an effect the mortality rate. She also reported a dismal *unofficial* number of covid deaths.
 
when China wants to decrease its population it demands a "one child per family maximum" which eventually worked very well ; in fact too well . now it is demanding an increase in its population for all sorts of reasons and so had introduced their "menstruation police" . They invade every aspect of ones private life almost? but it seems to work ok for them? the 'free' world couldn't tolerate it could they??

No, the Chinese people don't like this invasive policy. They didn't like forced abortions, either.

The CCP is now encouraging their young adult citizens to have up to 5 children, saying it's patriotic to have at least 3. But the economy is the worst it's been in 30 years, unemployment is way up, and banks aren't approving home loans. Young Chinese citizens don't even want to marry, let alone make families.

The "free" world is already having far fewer children that they did 30, 40, 50, etc. years ago, and they didn't need to be forced and no policies needed to be created.

Apparently, your wit went over my head, but I guess you mean they always get it wrong? In which case, you'd be right.

I saw a statistic today that indicated couples in the US had 2 kids in the not-so-distant past. Now they are averaging 1.6 kids. No jokes about the 1.6, please! :ROFLMAO:

Born in 1925, Dad was 1 of 11 children.
Born in 1935, Mom was 1 of 7.
Born in 1955, I was 1 of 5.

Dad's parents owned a farm and were Catholic. That explains all the kids.

When Mom was a child, her relatives and most of the families they knew had 4 or 5 kids. I think that was common for the middle-class and blue-collar workers in the 40s. Professionals/white-collar workers probably had smaller families. I'm guessing.
