Comparing Glucosamine Pills For Joint Pain

My first bottle of glucosamine was by Solgar and contained shellfish (shrimp, crab, lobster and crayfish). It seemed to help a little with knee & hip discomfort. I decided to try an all vegan bottle made by DEVA. The label declares "non-shellfish". In to my second week I am enjoying a nice decline in my pain level. I am guessing it may be caused by the different pills. Anyone have an history of preferring one supplement over another for joint pain?

I tried fish oil for a while but the more I took it the more clicking I felt or heard from joints(made them too lose or weakend cartilage?)along with feeling pre flu like. Switched to good old fashioned cod liver oil and joint pain or discomfort is at a minimum as long as don't over use or tire myself out.

Some 'experts' don't necessarily agree but I found as long as I am consistent with the fat soluble vitamins like a,d,e I get the same effect. I try to do at least one of them every day. I've found I don't even need the high doses, sometimes I think my body absorbs lower doses better than the mega doses. Alot of 'experts' harp against the oil based supplements. But some harp against the minerals/water solubles as well.

Thanks I must try the vegan glucosamine as I can`t take anything with fish or shellfish in them I have iron overload and it seems to
make the pain worse so bad... so I `ll look for this and give it a go .. my knees are getting worse and can`t have any replacement surgery due
to Neuropathy.. but thats another story thanks for the post will give it a go .. :)
