Computer help ... creating 'hot' buttons.

I just today ... emptied my cashe , cleared my browsing , etc. And turned off my modem for about 4 hours. Reason being my computer was just becoming so slow. It seems much better now but .... I lost all my "hot" buttons, [if that is the correct name for them] I had this site and another senior site, two motorcycle sites I follow, an on line grocery etc , all with one touch buttons.

How do I get them back ??

That's what happens when you clear cache. It deletes cookies and browsing history.
You need to go back to the sites manually and log in and the click the star to save it. I rarely surf the internet on a computer. I use an android tablet or phone. I find the android operating system far more user friendly.

Clearing cache, history etc.. should not affect bookmarks, but this could be dependent on the browser. I use Chromium and in the 'tools' section, I can choose what items I want to clear. I don't know what system you use, but if your machine is slow, try looking at the active tasks and see in any one is using excessive CPU or memory.
