Computer tech: gotta love it!

I am in the process of getting a Win 11 PC. I am upgrading to 16 GB RAM. My present one only has 8 GB. I also downloaded all the data from my wife's PC to an SD card and wiped it so I can get rid of it.

When my youngest child started school i decided to take a course to learn how to KEY PUNCH. That was in the early 70s. Do you remember us? Lol.

One of my first programming courses was Fortran and we had to keypunch a stack of cards.

Nothing crashed my computer more than trying to learn java programming. Good times.

Did that while at CSULB in the 70s. They had a CDC 3150 mainframe which handled the University's business and student loads, in addition to "faming out" computing time for local businesses.

I always hated it when the card reader jammed or even worse you dropped the card deck.

I could code in Fortran, RPG, Cobol and Assembler.
