While this is a perfect opportunity to apply myself to creative or fruitful endeavors, I find myself increasingly unable to concentrate. Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks for the information. Really hope this is a temporary issue for me. It feels like my thoughts are jumping all over the place - getting nowhere.Concentration issues can be one manifestation of underlying anxiety, which is common and largely to be expected in varying degrees during the pandemic and its associated isolation. Anxiety is a messenger, and the message is that we don't like having our regular lives and our control of situations taken from us. In times such as these, we need to be aware of our internal dialogue, and consciously push ourselves in a positive direction. We'll get through these trying times!
Thank you.well...our minds can get scattered with this crisis ..we want to know what's going on in our world..will we be okay...so many questions in our minds...
when we get thru this...we'll be able to focus on other things
apparently it's definitely listed as one of the symptoms of covid-19...just been reading about it here...While this is a perfect opportunity to apply myself to creative or fruitful endeavors, I find myself increasingly unable to concentrate. Is anyone else having this problem?

This is very useful, Judycat. I didn't verbalize my breakfast-making, but did verbalize my frustration with myself when I found the dehydrated toast in the toaster hours later. I started to make breakfast and forgot about it within the minute and a half it takes to make toast. So, I will definitely try speaking out steps before screwing things up. Thanks! We are all anxious. We want to dissociate. The best thing I have found is to be mindful of what I am doing at any given moment. I call myself back when I wander away. This has cooled a lot of the panic for me and I am one to easily fret about the future. I even verbalize what I am doing sometimes, taking it step by step.
