Interesting piece about these new type of doctors,never cared for it but he make sense in this interview.
Q:How have things changed for family practice during your career?
Kirk: It’s changed dramatically in how much the government and the insurance companies control, how they run every aspect of your practice from your billing to reimbursements to what tests and meds you can order. You have no say or control anymore and you have to have a huge staff to do all this. There’s a reason you have to see 25 to 30 patients a day to make a living, because your overhead is so high because you have to pay all these people to do the billing and do the insurance.
