Anybody come across this particular one - has a familiarity with many others - the world is ready to collapse and we are doomed, you should join with us to protect your soul??

Conforming to Jesus Ministry

they seem of course convinced that the end times are upon us and it seems have put a lot of info and effort into "proving it?"
 

but it still doesn't answer that fundamental question that has be "dogging" us for eons - where do humans really come from ? - apes : the sea : biblical history etc etc - how to believe in a God or a Christ or Angels if we never have any real proof?

It's all about the money, if you want to make a fortune, invent a religion. The Church of Scientology is perhaps the most prominent example of a group that has faced legal scrutiny regarding its financial model.

Blind faith is your answer.

Faith that a sentient being billions of years ago created one being in "our" image then took a rib from that being to create a female version.

From that not to good looking start humans have evolved into the variety we see now. I'm not saying the fossils show butt ugly humans but the fossils don't suggest otherwise.

As for prepping why would that be needed? Those with faith can rely on this.
Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse highlights that God’s plans are inherently good, even during challenging times.

As Knight says, a belief in a God requires blind faith.

But we have a pretty good handle, biologically, or where we evolved from. I consider evolution to be incontrovertible.

That is so true. I wince when I hear the word "church" associated with Scientology, an organization that fleeces it's members and destroys their family connections.
 
Pretty simple really. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Read the Bible. John 3:16. Believe and your world changes. Don't believe, then go with another doomsday believer. It's all about you. What do you believe? What do you think? Does your life pose serious questions for you. Events that defy understanding. Times when your life should have ended? Times when you escaped what others went thru. Pretty simple really. Stop listening to others. Get quiet, close your eyes and pray to God. Then sit in the silence and wait. He will answer you. Then you will have to try and comprehend what just happen and what you heard. After that, it's up to you.
 
I've noticed the End Times have been an important part of Church Doctrine for over 2000 years. Are they finally here? Or will I die before they occur? I guess I don't know and can't do much if they do. Been awake and watching though. Thanks.
 
I didn't read the ministry philosophy, but from the discussion, it sounds like the same pitch that comes from mainstream Christianity.

My parents stood over me and made me pray (repeat empty words) to someone in a place called heaven. Know what, the line must have been down because there was never any reply. Some people 'hold the line and wait in vain for a reply. I just get on with my life.
 
you never did it because YOU wanted to do it. You did it because you were forced.
Suppose, on reflection, some things in life you experienced or went thru left you feeling as you do. I would feel the same to be honest.
You're older now. You can think for yourself. I am saying that you reach out to God.
You tell him everything you went thru. You tell him that you doubt him. Tell him to prove you wrong. Fight back.
Read this below. The man was God. Jacob was angry and would not calm down. God saw Jacob for what he was and chose to deal with him in a matter that was different than how he will deal with most rebellious creations. Why? because Jacob was different, Like David was different .

If the bible is accurate after Christs death there was a little bit of acrimony between Paul and the other disciples but they seemed to get over that? you could say that this was the first Christ or Jesus Ministry after the death of Christ and so they do seem to have been ongoing since - but then you may have to believe in the bible first?
 
I'm not much on faith but I feel I do not know the answers to many things and that's ok. I don't need to believe in god, Jesus the bible or any of that stuff to provide a solution for unknown answers.
 
Here we all are - perched on a planet somewhere in what we call a universe and apparently as a species totally alone - we've had dinosaurs [apparently] that got wiped out [apparently?] and we are still alone - it can sometimes get a bit frightening and lonely - apart from sometimes comforting each other with a hug or two?

I think this all adds up to those who don't give a damn [including a lot of crims and conpersons] those who just wanna live in peace and then die and those who must keep searching for an answer - is there other life out there somewhere in the universe and are there portals of contact somehow? many churches or should I say some churches give comfort to the lost and lonely and the bemused and confused but do they really have the right answer? I can never forget the USA mountain climber - his dvd is on this site ; and got into big trouble once up mountain and was ready to die when someone looking like Christ approached him and.......................well go and watch the dvd??

and from all of this with have the Israeli domination of Gaza today? what has changed? - the events of the world today do not seem to provide a loving God just different religions fighting each other>

I was very little. Maybe less than 5 years old, when I prayed on instructions from my mother. I prayed a lot. But heard nothing. It's not like I prayed for a wagon and didn't get one. It was like there was no one there who was even listening. I finally discussed this with my mother, and she told me that God heard me anyway, even if I didn't get a response. I continued praying into my 20s. Maybe there is a god, but I'm convinced he's not responding to my prayers.

Some old timer here keeps saying, "Pray and then listen and you will hear God." I'm sure he's convinced, but being convinced means nothing to anyone who isn't already convinced. Maybe God can't talk and only communicates through a strong imagination. I've got a pretty good imagination, as good as the next guy, I reckon, but I also know when something is or is not there, especially if he's all powerful enough to actually be there. I quit playing hide and seek years ago.
