Cool Boats and Cool Cats

I was going to order one of these for our Senior Forum vacation, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that is was only 5 bucks for the boat. I just figured we would pass the hat and send in the money. Well, it turns out that the shipping is 10 million dollars, so it looks like we're gonna need a much bigger hat.
I don't know what the problem is. It seems like they could just get a bigger UPS truck (Problem solved), but sometimes companies just aren't very cooperative. How hard could it be really?
