Cooling towers demolished

These two 500 ft. cooling towers at the now closed Brayton Point power plant, in Somerset, Massachusetts, were taken down yesterday. The former power plant site is being cleared for future development. The towers were erected back in 2011 or 12 at a cost of $600 million. The towers are local to me - -about 12-14 miles from our home, therefore my interest.

Good news here is that they may be using this area for clean energy production going forward, unless plans have changed.
