Cops: Bank Robber Made Deposit in ATM Outside

He was a Wells Fargo robber, and also a customer

Police in Delaware say a man who robbed a Wilmington bank on Saturday didn't keep the cash for long—after fleeing the Wells Fargo branch, he paused to make a deposit in the ATM outside. Police say McRoberts Williams, a 44-year-old California resident, handed a note to a teller Saturday morning saying a robbery was taking place, WBZ reports. The 25-year-old woman gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.

Thanks for bringing me back down to Earth, @ohioboy :rolleyes::sneaky::LOL:

At my first reading of the OP, I thought the poor guy must have been so desperate to pay a payment owed, or to balance his account, that he decided to get the needed funds from the teller, who obviously has some, and enough (probably the teller has more than enough, he thought)

And then, he wanted to put it into his account, quickly, so that he wouldn't be punished for not having his monies correct......
:oops:Oops!!!! What was I thinking?

:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Okay, I read Ohioboy's post, and quickly realized, that explanation was far closer to what he (the robber) must have likely been thinking;

OR,
he just was not thinking at all!;):geek:

They made a mistake with his name- his real name is "Mr. Stupid." :oops:
Was his first name, Verry ?
:LOL:

Well, like they say..."Crime makes ya stupid". LOL Maybe not as stupid (or it's a tie) as the guy who handed the teller his stick up note on the back of his own check! :ROFLMAO:

It is challenging to decide who to rate higher, or is it lower, in this category! :giggle::ROFLMAO:

Perhaps they will improve their craft, while in prison 'classes' with other robbers there,
so that the bank robber in the OP would learn to go to a different bank to rob, not the same one that he is going to deposit the money into.
Just any bank, down the street, would be fine! 🙃😂

Speaking of stupid.....several years ago some guys decided to try to steal an ATM machine by chaining it to the bumper of their car and pulling it away.

Instead, the bumper of the car ripped off and the perps raced away, leaving the bumper, with license plate still attached, for the police to find.

Which they did, and arrested the owner forthwith....

I remember that, now that you tell it.
So funny! With the license plate! :D:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

:rolleyes::oops::whistle::giggle::LOL:

True colors. I don't care what this guy's story is. Felony crime is lack of impulse control/lack of discipline. No matter stupid or laughable this guy is still a CRIMINAL. True colors.
