Cops: Teen Killed Friend While Testing Body Armor

When I read about this yesterday, my first thought was, "I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often."
 
Where I live, younger kids than that are out of control and tend to fool around with guns when the parents are out. They seem to know better than to shoot at each other though.
 

A few scenarios come to mind......
they watch too many movies/ tv where people get up and walk away .... not realistic portrayal of vests etc....
OR and more likely wanted posted on a social media for likes and followers in attempt to create a paying gig .....
people do some crazy stuff to attempt to get paid for content.

Other likely possibilities: Young people often want to show that they fear nothing - "Macho."
