Corn on the cob: a quick question

Actress Katherine Hepburn went even further, as New England teen she would eat ripe fresh corn there in a field after picking according to an autobiography of hers i read.
Raw corn is what they used to give the long-distance swimmers (like Channel swimmers) for quick energy. Just toss them an ear from the boat. That was before "energy bars and gels", of course.
 

I would put them on the grill and roll them occasionally until the kernels are starting to barely shrivel. Then squeeze a lime all over them, sprinkle with salt and hot paprika, either Spanish or Indian depending on how hot you like it. Tasty and healthy.

Thanks for my something new i learned today. But it makes sense, since corn, like potatoes, is a starch and the digestive process converts it to sugar.
