Coronation reply?

Excuse me if this is posted anywhere else but don't you think it's rude that H and M have not replied to their invite? There is so much to finalise (I would think) around their plans. King Charles must be really suffering. How can they do this? I think it is so mean.
 

That seems a bit disrespectful to me. This is a strong life changing event for Charles....and to have it seem his son and DIL cannot be bothered. Darn. I live on this side of the pond, have no British in my bloodline, but I would give my left foot, and both my fake hips to see the festivities in person.

I want my invitation so I can go to London and see more of the king's guards. Lately I discovered little YouTube snippets of them barking at idiot tourists who get too close to their horses or grab the reins. For some reason I can't quit watching them.

 
I believe they have replied but with a list of ā€œdemandsā€. It was reported a week or two ago on the radio. From memory it went something like this, if itā€™s to be believed:

Harry insisted on a face-to face meeting with his father as part of attending the coronation. Somehow I think the King is going to be a bit preoccupied. Before, during & after the coronation. An event that is pre planned; probably with military precision. Even if it is toned down from previous similar events, as reported. I wouldnā€™t have thought there will be any ā€œSpareā€ time. There should be every opportunity to arrange a face-to-face another time.

They want invitations for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. I could be wrong, but as far as Iā€™m aware, no children of their age have been invited to the coronation? The coronation is going to be a long choreographed event. And therefore in my mind probably unsuitable for young children?

They want to be on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, which I believe is something reserved for ā€˜working royalsā€™?

There were some other demands that I canā€™t remember. No doubt if you type something like, ā€œHarryā€™s coronation demandsā€ in your favourite search engine you might find them.

Regardless of anyoneā€™s thoughts on the couple, or the purpose of this event. If these & any other demands are true as a condition for attending, then I donā€™t see how an invitee to any kind of event should feel they have the right to call some of the shots as a condition for attending. The chose is simple, they either decide to go, or they donā€™t.
 
I know I won't been able to sleep, or get anything down, until their RSVP gets to the palace. At least it's a lot more civil than other royal family tiffs, when heirs to the throne were lopping off each other's heads. Plus, if they do, or don't attend; I think the sun will still come up on May 7th, without having to sacrifice a virgin.
