Cosy clean fiction

you almost made my day then! @oldaunt AND someone just posted a song "all by myself" wot is this suicide alley?

I have begun reading this genre, the so called 'cosy clean apocalypse ' stories.
I have never heard of this genre before but I find the idea of it very interesting. I read a lot of dystopian novels and often the violence is just too disturbing.
I plan to see what the Goodreads site list under clean apocalypse and hope my local library has some of them.

My sister reads "clean" romances. About Mennonite girls who want to marry the boy next door, stuff like that. There's something standing in their way but it all works out.

I read all romances, clean or otherwise, if the author is good! Since I am way past that age I usually fast forward through the steamier scenes. :) In any case, I have lived too long to be offended by them!

I am reading Jude right now.
oh wonderful - his own life story was a bit strange in ways - and I don't know if anyone has written a biography but there are accounts all over the internet from his early days as a architect who went to inspect a church in Cornwall and fell in love with a lovely woman who was the sister-in-law of the local vicar - a truly interesting story which I will leave you to hunt for - it was here he must have started writing poetry and wrote some lovely stuff about his early courtship with the lady mentioned - can't recall her name now without leaving this page and hunting! But it was a sad marriage - I will say no more! do tell me what you thought of Jude eventually! Emma was here name apologizes - she was by all accounts very attractive and spirited and lost it all to love??

Try Millie Copper, I certainly love her style.

yes I think he was a very depressed man imo! - his poems are somewhat melancholic too - but in those sad quiet moments they seem to hit a chord?

It's just lovely to read novels where everyone is nice to each other. It makes you feel so much better in yourself.
We agree! I don't restrict my reading to "sweet" novels but Hero and heroine, plus families have to be nice! I am reading a series at the moment that is full of humor and love yet makes for gripping reading without long drawn out fights and misunderstandings!
