Cough drops ?

I've caught a horrible cold and cough. I had to drag myself out this morning to buy more cough drops and I stand amazed at how few brands there are left? I remember these cough drops so well. I took them for years. Can you list some others that don't exist anymore? And why don't they? There has never been a cure for the common cold.

IDK. What became of everything other than Riccola which is the only brand of cough drop left anywhere. For my money Vicks was the best. Shame the cough drops don't exist anymore cuz Vicks is still around.
 
I took a type called Pine Brothers. They had a nice wild cherry flavor type, and were a softer drop, kind of like a hard gel that you could bite after a while in your mouth.

Thank you. I remember there was a "soft" drop but the name escaped me.:)

Thanks Holly. I was horribly sick with a virus that's been going around. I do feel better but still have a nasty cough. I've been using Riccola drops for two solid weeks which is the only kind of cough drop I can find, but I'd kill for a Vicks. Those used to work so well. :sentimental:

Sorry that cough is still hanging on Chic. I'm surprised you can't find Hall's menthol.
 
Chic,I'm sorry I didn't see your post earlier,hope you are feeling better with each passing day
The cough drops I used years ago were called Sucrets,they came in a small tin container,in red and green flavors. Sue
 
I don't come over here very often, as you know I am usually over on the games. I was unaware you were sick. but hope you are feeling better now.We usually use the Ricola. They seem to work the best for us. I used to like the Ludens but haven't seen them for years.
