Counting my (health) blessings

Until you mentioned it in another thread, @hollydolly, I'd forgotten about my hiatus hernia. Doc told me years ago that it doesn't just go away, but I haven't had an attack in a long, long time. Guess that's why I forgot about it. Knock wood.

Boy, oh boy! I need to be grateful for just the little aches and pains here and there.

If I do stairs right (one at a time by stepping down with the good one first and dragging the other behind), no problem.

Pain the in the fingers usually taken care of by keeping them warm with fingerless gloves.

Hiatus hernia? Never, ever, eat or drink anything with any kind of mint. (At least that's what's worked so far.)

Growth on hip? No pain. It's just there. I suspect it's a bone chip from an old injury, but I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Religiously take BP and cholesterol meds prescribed by doc, along with B12, D and probiotic recommended by doc.

Along with Covid vaccine and boosters and seasonal flu vaccine, looks like I'm better off than many and good to go. For now:)

Has a doctor evaluated you for a cause? My father had that, and it turned out it was due to an underlying heart condition.

@JaniceM Diagnosis was more than 30 years ago, so if an underlying heart condition caused it, it would certainly have been discovered by now, considering my heart history. Meh. It's not anything I worry about.

My toenails concern me more than my heart or my BP ;)

I have to take meds for the HH I have.. but funny you mention the Peppermint GG.. because I've spent years telling them Mint is one of the many things that irritate the HH when in fact they keep telling me to take Mint to calm it.. šŸ˜–

I'm lucky *touch wood* with my health really..

I have a painful knee, which apparently is wear and tear , but aside from not letting me walk as far ( although I still walk fast)... it's not serious..
I have OA in my right hand... and I have a long standing, lower back pain but aside from giving me some bad pain every so often.. and as long as I just take care of it, again it's not terrible ( well only on the days when it won't hold me up).. altho' I'll never dance the Rumba in 4 inch heels again..

I'm not on BP Meds, or Statins.. which according to my doctor most people at his surgery my age are....

In fact I just take one pill per day and that's for the HH.. no other prescription meds at all... I take Vitamins... and that's it...

No pain or discomfort of any kind. I have to avoid certain foods, activities, etc., but that's okay.
