Coupons - do you use them?

I’m no extreme couponer, but I use them.

I sometimes download coupons from website to my store card. I get some good ones in the mail. Hey, from Kroger free Haagen Das, free eggs, free pound of center cut bacon, $1 - $2 off kitty litter (right there is $15 total). Free is always good. Also get about $5 extra bucks from CVS (although the trail of coupons they print on the receipt is a bit annoying.) And I don’t need to toss $15 - $20 into the trash every month just to try to show people I’m not poor.

I don’t buy something just because I have a coupon. If I don’t want/need to item I don’t buy it.

But I know people who don’t bother, or say stores are ripping people off in other ways, or they say they don’t have time.

Kind of a hassle for me personally, but I know a lot of people who save a lot. of money using them.

I just hope there's not one of them ahead of me in the checkout line.

I buy mostly fresh foods, and I shop for the lowest prices to begin with, if I see a coupon that will align with my list, I'd grab it to use in a minute. I do use the $5 off for the dollar store about once a month, I get my paper products there, so that comes in handy. Many of the others stores I shop, most of the discounts come off at the register and aren't the clip coupon kind.

I used to carry a envelope with lots of coupons, I've just found that I've lately gotten better deals on items that don't require the coupons, but, I use to love those savings when they were worth it. I always carry my store rewards cards though.

we use them all the time, when Kroger doubled we would say 60 to 80 dollars a trip, they stopped and our local store still doubles one and we average 25 to 30 a trip.....my wife's sister gives us the coupons and our six year old granddaughter who lives next door loves to help cut them out....it is a savings but also kind of a family fun time...wife will check out the weekly ads and than have a coupons to go with them....we have found that a store brand that is ok might be cheaper and than we leave the unused coupon there for someone else....

We still get a daily newspaper delivered, and every Wednesday we get the new store ads for 4 local supermarkets. I check them out and use them when deciding where to shop for what I need. Sometimes there's a coupon there, and I will definitely clip it and use it if it's something we need or like. I don't really go online for coupons, if I use them, it's generally just one or two in my wallet. I use coupons that come in the mail for haircut discounts at local chains.
