Covid Makes 3rd Appearance at Nursing Home

I get the feeling that this disease will keep mutating into different forms, like the flu virus does. We may need boosters every year or so. That doesn't bother me at all.
I don't need them. And I'll not get them. Didn't even get the first mRNA shot.
Only one flu shot during my whole life. Wouldn't do it again also.

I got the 4th vaccine shot last week. Absolutely no reaction at all. I did have a mild reaction to the second vaccine shot, but nothing to the boosters.

The CDC has just recommended boosters every 6 months for people over 60

It's gone already. Both residents tested negative. The first time it went on and on for months. The 2nd time it went on for about a month. This time, just a few weeks. I hope I never see the original strain again. That took the lives of at least ten residents. :(

Yes. The first two variants were really bad for us, but now it's worse than a bad cold, more like a mild flu. We've had several outbreaks over the last year and a half in the three facilities that I cover that have been much more mild both for vaccinated and unvaccinated. Haven't had any deaths though I am closely following one resident who hasn't regained her appetite since she had it appx six weeks ago.
