Covid & The "Blame Game"

Ever since Covid started, people have been looking for someone to blame. Stress & fear have replaced people's ability to think clearly. Some use it to express their own prejudices. After it was "Those selfish, reckless young people who don't care about others," now it's older people. Whose fault will it be next year?

Nothing wrong with being honest & saying, "We don't know squat." Beats the hell out of trying to appear intelligent by throwing out meaningless words to try to impress.

Might as well say "people from age 1 to 99 are susceptible.

I think what you're saying Win321, is we are looking for someone to blame for the SPREAD of the virus....which is not the same thing.

With so many of us shopping on-line and having goods delivered, I wonder how much the delivery drivers are to blame for spreading the virus? They spend the day visiting different homes, even if it's just to the doorstep, yet I've only seen two wearing masks.

Remember when gays were blamed for the AIDS virus? Then later:

Many people find it convenient to pick someone they don't like & make them a scapegoat.

I think we would have been much better off if people were more focused on truth....that many things we do NOT know.... then playing games of blame.

That is why the focus and studies IMO are missing the mark.......... we were told things to do .... and then said "wait no that does not work" .....as many suggestions guidelines are based off it works for XYZ Virus ....so it MIGHT work here.

keep hearing the same line " it is too soon .... we will study this later etc" ........ It is "OK" that the data is all funky we can sort it out later .... but NO................. you will never get it accurate after letting others compile data in many different ways,

We were told other things only to have them have retracted because of many items that just do not make sense.......
As theories are thrown out in media there will be a certain number of people who will buy into it regardless of being wrong or partially wrong.......
people began to take sides ........... based on they read one article while you may have read something else.......

I do not think regardless....... we will not overcome the divide................... because too many people want to be "right" instead of having an open mind.......and accept the fact that many things are just Unknown......... just saw all these stories about one vaccine being 100% ..... that makes no sense as math will show ...
i watch people waver that say "take this seriously " but then you see them not following the same lecture they just gave you.......

Too many IMO want to give more respect and credibility to so called "experts" then they have earned.......
