Covid Vaccine Shot and Mammograms?

This is an FYI. My second mom informed me that her doc informed her that once she get the vaccine, make sure she wait 4-6 weeks before she get a Mammogram. I asked her why, she was not sure. Has anyone else heard of this?
 

News to me. Maybe something to do with how medication could affect the imaging? But then why just mammogram? If she ever finds out why, let us know

It was news to me as well. Will definitely keep you posted. I have a friend that's a doctor - her husband is a doctor as well. Will reach out to her. Not sure if she is aware of it but will reach out. We need all the info we can get.
 

The Vaccine is so new, I am sure we will hear and read all type of things. I pray all of the vaccines are safe and help stop the spread of COVID.

Yup, you are right! I had this discussion when I had second vaccine shot. The swollen lymph glands can be mistaken for cancer so you have to wait. My doctor asked if I wanted to bypass the mammogram and just see the surgeon. Hmm, nope. šŸ˜‚
