The GM dealer that I have been a customer of for 22 years, has a National Rent a Car desk in their show room. If my vehicle is going to be held over night for work the next day, the service Manager rents a car for me, at no cost to me. It takes about ten minutes to have a fresh new car ready for me to take home. Being a long term customer has it's benefits. JimB.When I bought my new car I ask the salesman if I'd get a loner car when I needed to bring the car in for repairs...."Yes, no problem." Now a year later I have two recalls to get repaired, but they don't have a loner available!! I'm still fussing with them...I should have got it in writing!
Are there any stores nearby that have Amazon "Lockers"? I've used them a couple times and they're pretty convenient; they'll email you when your item(s) are delivered to the Locker; you just walk up to the locker and hold the email (or your phone if they texted you) up to the Locker, it scans it and it opens up. (You can also request your item to be delivered to a Locker on the lower row if you're height-challenged like me, lol.)That's great. I happen to live in an apartment though and I am starting to think I should cancel Prime. I can always start it up again.
My wife says to only wash colors with colors. Whites go in a separate pile. Always. My buddy went back home to India for a holiday and picked me up this red shirt as a gift.
I threw it in the wash with my favorite jeans and other coveted shirts, socks and underwear. When the cycle was done, I opened the washing machine door and all of my clothes were a bright PINK!!!
That cheap red shirt ruined all of my clothes!
And yeah, we also call people who steal your delivered items 'porch pirates' here in Canada. Very frustrating when that happens.
Hi Fuzzy Buddy - My car is 19 years old and done 119,340 Klms (don't know how much in milage) although I have had it since 2013. It has been regularly serviced and log books up to date. I fact my regular mechanic said to never get rid of it because it drives so well. But I seem to have a lot of luck, and it's all been bad lately.I drive a 15 year old car that only has 40K miles. That does not mean it should not have regular maintenance. I take it in once a year to have a check up. Often times belts and other rubber parts must be changed/replaced, not due to wear and tear but because they get dried out after so many years. I also change the oil every three months even though I don't have/show the mileage needing it to be done. I have all the fluids checked to make sure they are clean and full. Just simple regular maintenance will make sure the car is running safe and save me from costly repairs.
Thank you. I never knew that. Are there any stores nearby that have Amazon "Lockers"?
