Creepy masks ( to me )

I was unsure where to post this ….

In our travels between home in SA and Queensland we seen these masks looking things …… they were on display in a nice tidy small shop in a sleepy town ……...I wondered if they Halloween but they appeared to be a porcelain? …… i was just curious …but found them a bit creepy …..the shop didn’t have any costumes it was a old wares bits of this and that…..collectables

i didn’t like to be rude and ask what they were ….the shop was very clean and tidy

These were hard …like they were a ceramic ….porcelain meant for decoration … maybe Halloween

Yep, here is one that is porcelain worn yesterday by Asuka, she wears many of them.
Very common with Japanese wrestlers.

They look like Japanese Performing Arts masks to me.

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps used in Kabuki ?

That's just what l was going to say, they're common in Japanese movies, especially the "Obake" (ghost) ones.

Yeah, they are kind of creepy, but many masks are to me. This could have been posted in the General Discussions category, but it's okay to keep it here.
