Cruise ship hits iceberg on an Alaskan cruise

A Carnival cruise ship struck an iceberg on an Alaskan cruise. No damage. Some passengers got a little nervous or excited.

I can't imagine why a liner hitting an iceberg would cause any "nervousness". Everybody knows liners are unsinkable.

I didn't sail into Tracy Arm on my sailboat, but I did sail up Stephens Passage right past the mouth of Tracy Arm on my way to Glacier Bay. I had my chart plotter on, which also gives a radar readout, and up ahead, the radar picked up what looked like an island, but it was too far away to see. This made me nervous because no islands showed up on the chart. I turned out to be an iceberg.

Some guys apparently think it's a good idea to climb icebergs.
