This is my little Holly the Christmas cat. She was huddled outside my back door just after Christmas 2020 (hence the name). I had to live trap her as she wouldn't come in on her own. Clearly, she'd been abandoned by someone. Temps were close to -40C then so she was at great peril. You can see the frostbite still evident on the tip of her nose. It didn't affect her sense of smell or any other nose function but it's a reminder mostly to me of her early life in the wild. Took me almost a month before she would be in the same room with me. Today, she's a playful, loving kitty and gets spoiled a lot!
