Cutting back on sugar.....sugar substitutes ?

I rarely add sugar to my food. I don't eat ice cream. I have desserts occasionally. I have fruits containing sugar naturally. I don't add sugar to coffee or tea.

Well I've been using Stevia for a few days and will continue to do so till something else better comes along that gives me the sweetness that I want without any aftertaste.

I do notice a slight taste change in ice tea using Stevia more so than coffee which is probably attributed to fact that I like my coffee strong enough to use as paint stripper.

I've also been cutting way back on carbs which is kinda hard to do when you're married to a beautiful Asian lady that cooks rice darn near every meal. :)

One step at a time Ike.

I have a little herb garden. Years ago, I used to plant Stevia in my herb garden. Easy to grow. The stevia plant can be found at most garden centers in the herb section. I would pinch off a small stevia leaf and drop it in my cup of tea. It is very sweet! I liked the idea of it being fresh and knowing where it came from and how it was handled.

Try swapping the rice for frozen riced cauliflower.

It’s not terrible. 😉🤭😂
