Cutting back on the news

Ruth -- I wouldn't stop reading the news entirely. I know from experience that anything important will be covered by my local paper, and I'll see it. But, I'll only see it once, not a dozen times a day. If I choose to investigate it further I can Google it and get more details.

Anybody know how the Kardashians are doing lately?

Sounds like you are getting on good with it~I don't watch the news as much as I used to as I dropped Directtvnow and only have Philo, CBS, and network. It's irritating to see the same stuff 10 times a day~

I don't watch the news nearly as much as I use to. If I really find that I need to see something I will Google it on the internet and read it and get my information that way. I do not need to hear the same information over and over again.

I miss Walter Cronkite and Huntley and Brinkley.

Don
I always knew if Walter Cronkite said it...Damn it....it was a fact. When Kennedy was slain, I watched a real human, Walter cry as he delivered the sad news. When delivering news of our space launches he was thrilled an excited and it was contagious.

I quit watching the news this past Feb. I feel so much more tranquil. I did see the Cathedral of Notre Dame burn, but that was the only news I've watched in months. It's a good decision for me personally and that's all. The news was making me so angry and edgy, always feeling out of control. I'm so happy that's over.
