CVS buying Anthem BC/BS

I was told that this is happening & that it might lead to higher prices at Walgreens, due to the fact that of course CVS wants all our business.

On the news this morning it was Atena that was being purchased ?

Not sure now, but ya might want to check locally ?
 

I saw that on the news this morning.

It sound like CVS is positioning themselves to become the McDonald's of healthcare.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
 
CVS bought Aetna for 69 billion dollars...the sale is official. That will be one more reduction in competition in the health care industry. The more these companies combine, the less likely they are to have an incentive to reduce prices. I haven't shopped CVS much, but the few times I've been there, it seems that there are better prices elsewhere.
 

A drug company buys an insurance company that pays for it's product. No conflict of interest there.

Anti Trust , what's that.
