Dad Told Me a Funny Story Once

He said when he was young and dating my Mom, he was digging a ditch with my grandfather (his father-in-law to be).
A neighbor lady came by and said "Oh, are you planting begonias?"
My grandfather...immersed in his work...took off his cap, extended his hand and said, "Nice to meet you Mrs. Begonia."

I asked my Dad what happened next. He simply said he stifled the biggest giggle, then continued digging.
