Dag nab it, seasonal rush again, earlier than ever!

With resignation, I had come to accept Xmas seasonal items being placed out for sale before Halloween, but this year I’ve seen Xmas decorating merchandise on store shelves in September! My cherished fall and Halloween decor has already been packed to the side aisles, ignominiously disregarded. There ought to be a law…

How about you? Are you seeing Christmas merchandising earlier than ever in your area? Oh the horror, the horror! 🎄🙀

Instead of aisles full of Halloween stuff in the supermarket that I go to the most often in the next town... there is a whole aisle dedicated to Diwali... I have never seen that before !..not in this area...

Christmas decorations and display trees have been out in Walmart for about two weeks. In the past couple of days, Balsam Hill commercials have started appearing on TV.

What I really don't like is that my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, gets lost in the shuffle between Hallowe'en and Christmas.

I really like Thanksgiving, too. Families getting together for a nice big meal and shared appreciation, no big decorating and gift giving pressure. I've always wished it was earlier so people didn't fly to see family two months in a row and then maybe not again for a long time.

I don't mind the stores getting their merchandise out now, we don't have to buy it, in fact we barely do.

I’m gonna celebrate fall and Halloween, if I have to wrestle Father Christmas to do it! 🎃
