So I found out, that I need front brakes. Cool, a "Independent" (guy out if his own house) will do it for $310 (includes parts) gave address and repair time, downloaded Venmo, sent a test $1 through.

It worked, the next day I sent $310..... "There was an issue with your payment, try again later" no way to contact them, only email and idiot chat.

I'll search the web for answer, but may just take the bus there and pay him upfront (another way to be sure of the person) and then go back Saturday.

Damn you Venmo.....
 

Good idea also to use a different Browser (or try anyway) often I have trouble with some websites too until I disable the AddBlocker, just a thought?
 

Well, seems the "Reason" was what many do at first. It's to "Test" the system. So sending that $1 started it. Had I followed with a $50-$100-$160 it would have accepted it probably.

But I did it like $1-$310 so red flags went down.

But the guy was going to hit the store and needed the cash, so I drove to his place and paid. Now I have a solid address. I met him and he's got dogs.

So, I await for Saturday. Then in another month, the rear get done too.....maybe.
 
Good thing you got your issue taken care of satisfactorily, even though it took more time and effort. I have used CashApp for over 5 years with no problems. I just sent a test payment of $10, then $90 to the sax player I hired to provide me with a track. Once he let me know he got the first payment, I sent the rest. No problems at all. My entire family uses CashApp. I never used Venmo and said I wouldn't because I heard a couple of negative things about it.

That's a really good price for parts and labor too!
