Dan Snyder is finally out!

The NFL finally approved the sale of the Commanders to a new group........maybe in 4 or 5 years we'll actually have a good team.
The new owner has a stake numerous sports teams. Must be a hobby for him. I'd look at the success of those teams. It's one thing to go from a losing team to few games above 500 but another to win championships.

Thank goodness.

Now, if MLB could only get rid of the owner of the Oakland A's. The guy's a disgrace, maybe one short half-step above Snyder in his money-grubbing, cheapskate ways. Although at least no sexual harassment claims, so that's something to be grateful for.

NorCA fans can thankfully console ourselves with Joe Lacob/owner Golden State Warriors NBA team, and Jed York, son of the owners of the SF 49ers NFL team. Both are passionately devoted to their respective teams and well-regarded by staff and players.

Sounds like Snyder has more troubles ahead .... the NFL isn't going to let him just walk away with his billions.

Dan Snyder, former owner of the Washington Commanders, just got a massive fine from the NFL after a very controversial investigation.
Dan Snyder just completed the sale of the Washington Commanders for $6.05 billion to a group of investors led by Josh Harris. However, the NFL and Roger Goodell weren’t going to just let him walk away.

An independent investigation led by attorney Mary Jo White concluded Dan Snyder sexually harassed a team marketing employee and that the Commanders as a franchise didn’t report shared revenue to the NFL. That first accusation was made public on February of 2022 by Tiffani Johnston.

Though Dan Snyder declared himself not guilty, the NFL just announced a historic punishment for the now former owner of the Washington Commanders

Actually, even after paying the fines he's going. to walk away with more than $5 billion.......

As for winning a championship we are so far away from that it's a joke.....but to have a team that maybe gets to the playoffs in 3 years and stays there......that might happen.....way too many holes for us to think championship.

Will it at least be any more positive to be watching and rooting for your team, after these changes, than it has been in recent years, Frank?
Maybe yes? Maybe not?

Kaila, My guess is that this coming year will be no fun at all.....they need a lot of good players and the coaching staff needs to go.....but I'm hoping that we will start to make changes to bring the fan base back but still, I think you are pretty accurate....maybe yes, maybe no, at least for a few years.

Okay, @frankrp
It's good to hear how it really is, for a fan of your team, like yourself, and for you, specifically.

How long do you guess it might take, to get new coaches?

If I understand his plan he's going with the coaches they have this year and if he's going to change he will do that for next year which makes sense.....

Let's hope the new owners change the silly name of the team. Commanders? Redskins had to go. That was an old racial slur from the 1800's. But Commanders? Surely someone can come up with a better name for a football team.

Cleveland Guardians name is even worse.

@frankrp
I saw something interesting about Sam Howell, who is the young, new starting QB, for your team, Washington Commanders.

He shows lots of potential, even though his college team wasn't set up well for him, so it might be interesting to watch to see, how he might surprise people, while having been a 6th round pick.
He might very well turn into a legit NFL QB.

It could be. He did play well at NC. We'll just have to see how he handles the pressure and what happens as the NFL defenses get to know him. Also and equally important is that the offensive line is NOT top talent and that will make his job that much harder. The receivers and running backs are good but the line is a critical weak point.
